about davao kenyukai

OUR HISTORY

Davao Kenyukai is a kendo club based in Davao City, Philippines.

Davao Kenyukai aims to forge strong bonds and friendship between kendokas through the practice of the sword.

OUR LOGO

The club logo’s main visual is the durian flower — also known as the flower that blooms upside down. It represents how its members and their skills bloom despite the difficult circumstances it was given. The stamen represents each and everyone in the club. They grow from the center of the flower, all the while keeping the club strong and intact. They are what holds the flower together. Lastly, the three dots represent the club’s vision of love, friendship, and swordsmanship as its foundation.

For its color, White represents a successful beginning. It affects the mind and body by aiding in mental clarity, clearing obstacles and clutter, and encouraging the purification of thoughts and actions.
